The Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG) has published the order of the Consellería de Medio the order of the Consellería de Medio Rural (Regional Ministry of Rural Affairs) to support investments in agricultural holdings, for the creation of businesses by young farmers or for people between 41 and 55 years old, and for the development of small farms, which have a total budget of 47 million euros. The deadline for submission was extended until April 22.
These grants belong to the Rural Development Program (PDR) of Galicia 2014-2020. The budget is co-financed 12% by the General State Administration, 28% by the Xunta de Galicia and 60% by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
The aim of these aids is to improve the productive structure of Galician farms and to advance in the achievement of an adequate dimension and a correct balance of their production factors with the objective of improving competitiveness. At the same time, it seeks to achieve a rejuvenation of the active agricultural population and to promote employment in this sector, with special consideration for women, with the ultimate aim of fixing the population in rural areas.
Modifications
Subsequently, the DOG published the resolution of the Consellería de Medio Rural (Regional Ministry of Rural Affairs), approving two changes approved two changes to facilitate to facilitate the application for the last aids for improvement plans and incorporation of young people to the field.

With this change, the administrative procedures are streamlined in order to facilitate the management of potential beneficiaries.
Article 26, number 1, letter g) of the call for proposals is modified, which shall be worded as follows:
“g) Not having any file of the aid of the submeasure 4.1 Support for investments in agricultural holdings of the RDP of Galicia 2014-2020, whose granting resolution was notified, without submitting its application for payment on the date of publication of this order.”
Likewise, letter g) of number 1 of article 32 is amended, which shall read as follows:
“g) Not having any file of the aid of the submeasure 4.1 Support for investments in agricultural holdings of the RDP of Galicia 2014-2020, whose granting resolution was notified, without submitting its application for payment on the date of publication of this order.”
