Our agri-food cooperative focuses on milk production and feed manufacturing, with the mission of staying close to you and offering rural products with the authentic taste of Galicia. We bring together livestock farmers and crop farmers to provide a wide range of agricultural products and services.

Since 2005:
a pioneer feed mill in Taboada
In 2005, AIRA was established as a second-tier cooperative, bringing together 12 cooperatives with the goal of building a large, modern, and competitive feed mill in Taboada (Lugo). The facility was inaugurated four years later and is now the largest dairy cattle feed mill in Spain.
Consolidating our position as a benchmark in the Spanish agri-food sector
In 2017, with the aim of adapting to the sector and meeting the needs of our members, it was proposed to merge the activities and assets of all the cooperatives into a single legal entity. At the beginning of the following year, AIRA became a reality, giving birth to a project committed to the care and sustainable development of our environment.
Born from cooperative integration in 2018
In 2018, Aira was founded as the result of a a cooperative integration process. This project merged the cooperatives AGRIS, ICOS, COGASAR, COELPLAN, and AIRA into a single legal entity. It is a project by and for the people who form part of this cooperative, with the goal of promoting the Galician countryside in a sustainable and respectful way.

Today, AIRA is an agri-food cooperative that brings together Galician livestock breeders, producers, and farmers to promote rural Galicia and its dairy and agricultural products. We make the present and future of the countryside possible.
