Since 2005:
a pioneer feed mill in Taboada
In 2005, AIRA was constituted as a second-grade cooperative, integrating 12 cooperatives that joined together with the objective of building a large, modern and competitive feed mill in Taboada (Lugo), which was inaugurated four years later. And, today, we are the largest dairy cattle feed factory in Spain.
Consolidation as a benchmark for the agri-food sector in Spain
In 2017, with the aim of adapting to the sector and meeting the needs of our partners, it was proposed to the partners to merge the activity and the social mass of all the cooperatives into a single legal entity, and at the beginning of the following year, AIRA was already a reality. Thus was born this project committed to the care and sustainable development of our environment was born.
Born of cooperative integration in 2018
In 2018, the following was founded Aira as result of a integration process as cooperative single. This project involved the merger of AGRIS, ICOS, COGASAR, COELPLAN involved the merger into a single legal entity of the cooperatives AGRIS, ICOS, COGASAR, COELPLAN and AIRA. A project by and for each of the people who are part of this cooperative and whose objective is to promote the Galician countryside in a sustainable and respectful way.

Today, AIRA is an agri-food cooperative that unites Galician breeders, producers and farmers to promote rural Galicia and the Galician dairy and agricultural product. We make possible the present and the future of the countryside.
